I served as a substitute teacher in Garland ISD and Coppell ISD during the 2007-2013 school years. I also taught in Dallas ISD during the 2013-2014 school year as a 1st grade teacher. I also home-schooled my sons during the 2015-2017 school years.
I grew up knowing that I wanted to serve children and my passion for teaching began when I was an undergraduate student volunteering at Tomas Rivera Elementary in Denton, Texas in 2005-2006. My goal was to make an impact in each students' lives I was honored to be in the presence of. I believe that every child can be taught and it is my responsibility to ensure that the academic, social, developmental, and emotional needs of  my students are met in a rigorous student led environment.
I am a mother of three amazing sons that I have had the honor of raising and teaching since 2008.
I look forward to the opportunity to be a pillar in the academic journey of each student in my class.
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive: and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."
