2nd Grade Teacher

27 years in Dallas ISD

I have taught grades second  through sixth
I came to education to help students that were uninspired learn to love learning. Reading is a passion of mine and I try to encourage that passion in others. I grew up in a small Northwest Texas town, so teaching in urban school was very different from how I grew up, but over 31 years I truly have learned to love what I do.

"You are braver than you believe, smarter than you seem, and stronger than you think."

Winnie-the-Pooh (A. A. Milne)

Classroom Expectations:

Students are expected act in a way that will allow them and their classmates to learn and enjoy class to our fullest potential. Homework is something that is to be done each night. Reading to someone, practicing sight words, and math flash cards are homework.
